The Battle Barge Cruise 2026 is an independent, fan-run wargaming cruise organized in partnership with Event Cruises, sailing September 26 – October 1, 2026. You will sail aboard Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas from Cape Liberty, New Jersey to King's Wharf, Bermuda — five nights given over entirely to Warhammer and tabletop miniatures. Cabin prices run roughly $950 to $2,100 per person, which covers the cruise itself, meals, and entry to every campaign and event on board.

The centerpiece is a multi-day Warhammer 40,000 narrative campaign in which the result of every game feeds a persistent planetary map, so your wins and losses genuinely shape the story the whole ship is telling. Organizers build custom battlefields with high-quality 3D terrain in the ship's conference center, and the tables stay set up for the length of the voyage. Beyond 40k doubles, expect Kill Team skirmishes, Warhammer roleplay sessions in Wrath & Glory, and open gaming for anyone who wants a pick-up match between sea days.

Hobbyists are looked after as well as generals. Dedicated painting stations come stocked with wet palettes, specialized lighting, and hobby supplies, and guided workshops walk newcomers through techniques while veterans tackle display-level projects. It is a rare chance to paint for hours without the usual distractions of home — just you, your miniatures, and the ocean sliding past the window.

When the ship docks in Bermuda, the hobby comes ashore.
