Six Flags Qiddiya & Falcon's Flight

Six Flags Qiddiya City opened on December 31, 2025, and instantly rewrote the record books. Carved into the dramatic Tuwaiq cliffs on the edge of Riyadh, it is the first Six Flags park outside North America and the flagship attraction of Qiddiya — Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 "city built for play." Across six themed lands you will find 28 rides and attractions, several of them official world-record holders, and in 2026 TIME magazine named the park one of the World's Greatest Places.

The undisputed headliner is Falcon's Flight, the tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster on Earth. It climbs to roughly 195 meters (640 feet) before hurling riders over the edge of the escarpment, plunging down the rocky cliffside and reaching a top speed near 250 km/h (155 mph) across a 4.2-kilometer circuit. The layout uses the natural canyon as part of the ride — a genuine first in coaster design — and a magnetic launch accelerates the train faster than most sports cars.

Falcon's Flight is not the only record on site. Sirocco Tower is the world's tallest drop tower, hauling riders more than 140 meters up before letting go; Gyrospin is the tallest pendulum ride of its kind; and coaster fans can tick off Iron Rattler, a towering tilt coaster, and Spitfire, the tallest inverting coaster. Between the marquee thrills sit gentler family coasters, dark rides, and immersive zones that blend futuristic science fiction with Saudi heritage.

What sets the park apart is the setting. For thrill-seekers this is fast becoming a bucket-list pilgrimage — the sheer density of world-record rides in a single park is unmatched anywhere on the planet. And the coaster is only the opening act: Qiddiya sits about 40 minutes from central Riyadh and is designed as the anchor of a far larger entertainment city that will eventually add a Formula 1-grade Speed Park circuit, a dedicated gaming and esports district, a Dragon Ball theme park, and major sports and performing-arts venues. Visiting now means catching the record-breaker before the crowds it will inevitably draw.

Practical notes: Saudi Arabia now issues tourist eVisas to many nationalities, so a visit is far simpler than it once was. Go in the cooler months, roughly November to March, since summer heat in the region is brutal and much of the park is open-air.
